Carroll Shelby was an extremely well accomplished driver who raced in North America, South America, as well as Cuba, the Bahamas and throughout Europe. His first race ended with a victory in 1952 and shortly after his most significant win at Le Mans in 1959, his career came to an abrupt end in 1960 due to a heart ailment.
